Special elections were held on April 7th for House Districts 17 (St. Augustine) and 24 (Palm Coast) and Senate District 6 (St. Augustine). Republican Cyndi Stevenson beat two opponents for HD 17, winning 77.7% of the vote. Paul Renner defeated a democratic opponent with 67% of the vote and Representative Travis Hutson beat a democratic challenger with 69%.
A special election was held on April 21st for House District 64 (Tampa). Representative Jaime Grant beat a write-in candidate to reclaim his seat with 98.67% of the vote.
