On June 17th, legislative leaders sent the General Appropriations Act (HB 5001) and related appropriations bills to Governor Ron DeSantis. He has until June 30th to act on the bill. DeSantis has indicated he will make deep cuts to the $92.3 billion budget.
The Governor has 73 bills awaiting action. He has signed 106 bills and is waiting to receive an additional 26. So far, he has not vetoed any bills that have come across his desk. Look for our next eNewsletter which will focus more broadly on the bills that have been signed into law.
