Thanksgiving is around the corner and the TSA estimates over 22.6 million people will be flying during the holiday period November 22- December 2. If you’re flying, be sure to check out their website for friendly reminders of what is allowed and not allowed on your flight.
Some things to keep in mind as you go through security checkpoints:
Wrapped gifts: Allowed, but not encouraged. TSA may have to unwrap for inspection.
• Snow globes: Need to comply with the 3-1-1 liquids rule.
• Fruitcake, cookies, holiday treats: If food item is solid, you can pack it. If spreadable or pourable, see 3-1-1 rule.
• Batteries in gifts: No lithium batteries, but check here for guidelines.
