Citizens Property Insurance Citizens Insurance has named Tim Cerio as its president and CEO. He currently serves as the company’s general counsel. He takes over from Barry Gilway who is retiring after almost 11 years at the helm.

Richard Corcoran The New College Board of Directors fired president Patricia Okker and replaced her with former Republican Speaker of the House of Representatives Richard Corcoran. Corcoran, a former Florida Commissioner of Education, will serve as interim president.

Florida Department of Business Regulation The Department of Business Regulation named Maureen Wagner its deputy secretary for professional regulation. Wagner was Lieutenant Governor Nuñez’s chief of staff and takes over from Brian McManus, who was appointed the department’s deputy secretary for business regulation.

Joe Glover University of Florida provost Joe Glover has announced he will retire in July after 15 years. Incoming President Ben Sasse will conduct a national search for his replacement.

Tiffany Homler Hawkins The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) selected Tiffany Homler Hawkins as its CEO. Hawkins had been serving as interim CEO since August 2022 after former CEO James E. Harrison died unexpectedly.

Ken Jones Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis reappointed Ken Jones to the Florida State Board of Administration Investment Advisory Council.

Jacob Oliva Jacob Oliva, Florida Department of Education chancellor for public schools, was appointed secretary for the Arkansas Department of Education by Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Armando Pimentel Florida Power and Light has named Armando Pimentel CEO and president. He replaces Eric Silagy, who announced he is retiring after leading the company since 2011.
