Florida’s legislators returned to the Capitol City during the week of September 16th for interim committee meetings. Legislators will be in Tallahassee during the weeks of October 14th and 21st; November 4th and 11th; and December 9th. The Legislature will convene its regular session on January 14, 2020 and is scheduled to complete its work on March 13th.
On September 25th, Senate President Bill Galvano (R-Bradenton) called a special session in Tallahassee for the week October 21st to determine whether or not the Senate will reinstate Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, based on the Special Master’s recommendation.
