While all eyes are on the contentious Governor’s race, there are several other races that deserve our attention:

U.S. CONGRESS

Incumbent Congressman Steve Southerland, Republican from Panama City, is being challenged by Gwen Graham, a Democrat from Tallahassee and daughter of former Governor and U.S. Senator Bob Graham. The contest is close and has garnered national attention as the Democrats feel the seat is vulnerable. Another race worth watching is that between Democratic Congressman Patrick Murphy (Palm Beach Gardens) and his challenger, Republican and former state representative, Carl Domino (Jupiter). Though Murphy is one of the nation’s top Congressional money raisers, the district leans Republican and was one of only six in the state to vote for 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
