Special Elections

SPECIAL ELECTIONS

A special general election was held on December 19th in House District 58. Republican Lawrence McClure defeated three candidates to replace Representative Dan Raulerson (R-Plant City) who resigned due to health issues earlier this year.

A special democratic primary election was held on Tuesday, December 5th to replace Representative Alex Miller (R-Sarasota), who resigned earlier this year. Margaret Good defeated Ruta Jouniari and will face Republican James Buchanan and Libertarian Alison Foxall in the special general election on February 13, 2018.

On January 30, 2018 a special primary election will take place for Senate District 31, called as a result of the resignation of Senator Jeff Clemens (D-Lake Worth). The general election will be April 10, 2018.  In House District 114, a special primary election will be held on February 20, 2018 to replace Representative Daisy Baez (D-Coral Gables) who resigned November 1st. The general election for that seat will be held on May 1st.
