Downtown Orlando Partnership Appointed executive director by the Downtown Orlando Partnership Board of Directors was Joshua Wyche.

Federal Appeals Court The U.S. Senate has approved President Donald Trump’s nominations to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Florida Supreme Court Justices Robert Luck and Barbara Lagoa were confirmed by the full U.S. Senate in November. Now with two vacancies pending on the Florida Supreme Court, Governor DeSantis will authorize a judicial nominating commission to begin the search for applicants to fill the vacancies.

The Florida First Amendment Foundation Appointed president was Pamela Marsh, former U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Florida. She replaced Barbara Petersen, who retired effective December 1st.

Florida Department of Health Florida Surgeon General Scott Rivkees appointed Dr. Robert Karch as deputy secretary for children’s medical services, and Dr. Shamarial Roberson as deputy secretary for health. Karch previously served as the president of the medical staff and as chairman of the medical executive committee at The Nemours Foundation. Roberson most recently served as director for the division of community health promotion at the Department of Health.

Florida Public Service Commission Elected chair was Commissioner Gary F. Clark. His two-year term will begin January 2, 2020. Clark was first appointed to the Commission in 2017 and was recently reappointed for a term ending in 2023.
