Governor Scott Appointments:

Board of Optometry Reappointed were John Griffin, Tallahassee, a retired attorney; and Dr. Katie Spear, Pensacola, a practicing optometrist. 

Broward County Supervisor of Elections Suspended was Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes. Appointed as her replacement was Pete Antonacci, the president and CEO of Enterprise Florida.

Commission on Community Service Ten reappointments and one appointment were made: Kelli Walker, Tallahassee, district volunteer coordinator with Leon County Schools; Kerry Anne Schultz, Gulf Breeze, an attorney with Fountain, Schultz and Associates; Meghan Collins, Tallahassee, the communications director at the Florida Department of Education; Sabeen Perwaiz Syed, Jacksonville, executive director of the Florida Nonprofit Alliance; Chucha Barber, Tallahassee, president of Chucha Barber Productions; Autumn Karlinsky, Weston, a volunteer and fundraiser at Imagine Charter School in Weston; Patricia Miller, Ocala, owner of Miller and Associates; Jayne Cerio, Tallahassee, a former public school teacher; Natalia Martinez, Miami, general manager at Cambridge Innovation Center Miami; Christina Bonarrigo Villamil, Coral Gables, associate director of external affairs for the University of Florida Coral Gables Office. Appointed was Charles Vickers, Tallahassee, chief pilot and aircraft sales manager for Flightline Group Inc. Aviation. 

Department of Education Former House Speaker Richard Corcoran was nominated by DeSantis to serve as Commissioner of Education and the State Board of Education unanimously approved his appointment on December 17th. 

Early Learning Coalitions Six appointments and one reappointment were made to coalitions around the state: Early Learning Coalition of Duval: Marcus Rowe, Jacksonville, resident director and vice president at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management; Early Learning Coalition of Manatee: Adam Mohammadbhoy, Bradenton, an attorney with Harllee & Bald, P.A; Early Learning Coalition of the Nature Coast: Darla Huddleston, Bushnell, an entrepreneur; Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando: Jacob Horner, Odessa, senior manager of government affairs with WellCare Health Plans; Early Learning Coalition of Santa Rosa: Anna Weaver, Pace, vice president of United Bank; Early Learning Coalition of the Southwest: Victor Mraz, Fort Myers, financial advisor with Blue Chip Financial of Southwest Florida; Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region, Inc.: Monesia Brown, Tallahassee, director of public affairs and government relations of the east for Walmart.

 Florida Transportation Commission Appointed was David Boyd Genson, Naples, senior vice president and director of land development of Barron Collier Companies. 

Lake County Tax Collector Appointed was David Jordan, Tavares, who since 1999 has . served as the chief deputy tax collector since 1999. 

North Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners Appointed was Marie Waugh, Fort Lauderdale, chief human resources officer for APTIM. 

St. Johns River State College District Board of Trustees Appointed were Leslie Dougher, Green Cove Springs, a realtor with Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty; James Reid, Palatka, a certified public accountant in private practice; and Reverend Bobby Crum, St. Augustine, a pastor of Anastasia Baptist Church. Reappointed was Sam Garrison, Fleming Island, a partner at Kopelousos, Bradley, Garrison, and Komando P.A. 

Tampa Bay Regional Transit Authority Reappointed was Michael Millett, Tampa, an attorney with Raymond James Financial. 

Tampa Port Authority Appointed was Hung Mai, Lutz, president and chief executive officer of H.T. Mai, Inc.
