Broward College Appointed president was Barbara Bryan. Bryan was first appointed temporary president after Gregory Adam Haile resigned in September. Henry Mack was initially appointed as temporary president, but declined the position after he and the College could not reach an agreement on his contract. The college has three campuses and 55,000 students.

Richard Corcoran The Florida Board of Governors confirmed former House Speaker Richard Corcoran as the president of New College. The five-year contract includes a salary of $1.3 million per year.

Florida Board of Governors Elected chair for his second 2-year term was Brian Lamb; elected vice chair was Alan Levine.

Florida Commission on the Status of Women Appointed by House Speaker Paul Renner was Lori Day. Day lives in St. Johns County and is the owner of New Day Solutions and is the vice president of Northeast Florida’s Women Business Owners.

Florida Department of Elder Affairs Promoted to chief of staff for the agency was legislative affairs director Tyler Jefferson.

Florida Greenways and Trails Council Appointed by Senate President Kathleen Passidomo was former Senate President Andy Gardiner.

Florida Housing Finance Corporation Director Mike DiNapoli resigned on October 26th before its Board was set to fire or reinstate him.

Florida Veterans’ Hall of Fame Twenty men and women were inducted into the 2023 Florida Veterans’ Hall of Fame during a ceremony on November 14th. The Florida Channel recorded the ceremony, which you may watch here.
