GAINESVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE A Florida appeals court has ruled in favor of the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce regarding its exemption to pay taxes to the Alachua County property appraiser. A split court ruled the Chamber is a charity and therefore, not obligated to pay property taxes.
