TRAYVON MARTIN AVENUE The Miami-Dade County Commission approved a request a rename a portion of a road in front of Dr. Michael K. Krop Senior High in honor of Trayvon Martin. The school was the high school Martin attended prior to his death.

DEFENSE SUPPORT TASK FORCE The Florida Defense Support Task Force grant program has awarded $1,250,000 to five projects to protect and support military installations across the state. The award recipients include the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners; Clay County Development Authority; Polk County Board of County Commissioners; Orlando Economic Partnership; and the South Florida Progress Foundation.
SPACE FORCE Vice President Mike Pence came to Florida on December 9th to announce name changes for Patrick Air Force Base and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. They have been renamed Patrick Space Force Base and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
