Pulitzer Prize The South Florida Sun Sentinel was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for public service for its coverage of last year’s mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Sun Sentinel staff was also a finalist in the category of breaking news reporting for its coverage. Tampa Bay Times reporters were finalists in the investigative reporting category, and Miami Herald reporters were finalists in the explanatory reporting category.

SeaWorld Orlando Mark Pauls is no longer president of SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Orlando parks. Discovery Cove president Kyle Miller will serve as interim president of all three parks in Orlando. Pauls had served as president since last September.

Veterans Florida Appointed to the board of Veterans Florida were Lynda L. Weatherman, president and CEO of the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast; and Angela Drzewiecki, Tallahassee, a consultant with Peebles, Smith & Matthews.

Orlando Magic Retiring is Pat Williams, Orlando Magic co-founder and basketball Hall of Fame honoree. Williams had been with the Magic for over 30 years and spent a total of 51 years in the NBA.
