House Democracy Partnership U.S. Representatives Vern Buchanan (R-FL) and David Price (D-NC) have been named co-chairs of the bipartisan House Democracy Partnership. Launched in 2005, the HDP is made up of 20 members of the House and works closely with the U.S. Agency for International Development, the International Republican Institute, and the National Democratic Institute.

Pam Bondi Former Attorney General Pam Bondi has joined the Washington, D.C. office of Florida-based Ballard Partners where she will head the firm’s regulatory compliance office.

Kim Daniels Representative Kim Daniels (D-Jacksonville) resolved a state ethics case dating back to her time on the Jacksonville City Council. In the agreement filed with the state ethics commission, she admitted to filing false financial disclosures. The commission has referred the case to House Speaker Oliva for any further action.

Julie Jones Former Secretary of the Florida Department of Corrections has decided not to take a similar job in New Mexico, citing personal reasons. Jones served as secretary in Florida for four years after being appointed by former Governor Rick Scott in 2015.

R. Fred Lewis Retired Florida Supreme Court Justice R. Fred Lewis will teach at his alma mater, Florida Southern College.

Cissy Proctor Former executive director of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity Cissy Proctor has joined LSN Partners, heading up their new Tallahassee office.
