Clay County Sheriff Appointed interim Clay County Sheriff was Matt Walsh, a special agent with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He fills a vacancy created by the suspension of Clay County Sheriff Darryl Daniels from public office.
Florida Commission on Human Relations Appointed were Darrick McGhee, Tallahassee, chief operating officer for Johnson & Blanton, LLC; Dawn Hanson, Tallahassee, director of administration for the Executive Office of the Governor since 2005; Angela Primiano, Hollywood, administrative director of employee relations for Memorial Healthcare System; Monica Cepero, Broward, deputy county administrator in the Office of the County Administrator for Broward County; Libby Farmer, Tallahassee, bureau chief for the People First program at the Florida Department of Management Services; Larry Hart, Fort Myers, Lee County Tax Collector.
Governor’s Office Fred Piccolo was appointed communications director replacing Helen Aguirre Ferré; deputy general counsel Nick Primrose has taken a job with JaxPort and deputy director of communications Meredith Beatrice moved to director of strategic initiatives. Deputy chief of staff David Clark left the office on August 7th.
