The Senate and House of Representatives will hold its Organizational Session on November 20, 2012 when newly elected members will be sworn into office. In the meantime, the Senate President and House Speaker will be developing their leadership teams.
Speaker-Designate Will Weatherford recently announced Representative Seth McKeel (R-Lakeland) as the Appropriations Chairman during his term as the Speaker. The Speaker-Designate highlighted Representative McKeel’s expertise and background as a small business owner, as a former Lakeland City Commissioner and as the previous Chairman of the House State Affairs Committee in making his selection.
